History
On September 23rd, 2023[1], it was leaked by Team Supernova[2] that VooDEW 6.0, alongside its Zero Sugar variant, would be releasing in Fall 2024 with a collaboration of a top candy brand.
It was officially released in stores on September 2024 throughout the United States for a limited time in 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles and will remain available until November.
Freeze release
(2024) Circle K
In August 2024[3], Circle K locations began getting VooDEW 6.0 as a Froster Freeze and received a 24-ounce color-changing cup & glow in the dark dome lid that includes a 2-in-1 straw & shoe charm to go with your Crocs.
As a bonus, once you buy the cup, it'll cost you $7.99. You get a first fill free, and on top of that, the cup will change colors depending on the temperature. If it's at room temperature, it'll remain white, but when it gets cold, it'll turn purple.
This Froster Freeze release is the second release to get a color-changing cup. The first is Purple Thunder's 1st-anniversary Froster Freeze release in Summer 2023.
Trivia

- There's a Twitter account named "VooDewGrim,"[4] endorsed by the official Mountain Dew[5] Twitter account. VooDEWgrim has been inactive since 2022[6] and has yet to return.
- The VooDEW 6.0 flavor is a collaboration with a "Top Halloween candy brand" meaning that the flavor reveal will be a brand name and not a generic name such as "Sour Candy Flavor."
- This collaboration isn't the first partnership with a candy brand and a soda brand from PepsiCo. The first example of this Halloween collaboration was October 2020's Crush Sour Patch Kids Berry soda, the second example of this was VooDEW 5.0, and the third VooDEW 6.0.
- A r/mildlyinteresting Reddit post went trending regarding VooDEW 6.0's prototype labels on March 23rd, 2024[7]. The user from the post retrieved the label wrap by mistake, and they later deleted the post along with the photograph.
