VooDEW 1.0 (Canada) was a Mountain Dew flavor released in Canada for Halloween 2024 as the first annual release in the VooDEW series.

VooDEW 1.0 (Canada) was a Mystery Flavor of Mountain Dew. It was white in color, with a flavor profile comparable to its VooDEW Family of Flavors alongside other Halloween and mystery flavors.
Speculation[]
Before its mystery flavor was officially revealed, people who've tried it have drawn comparisons to a chalky candy.[1]
Clues[]
On September 27th, 2024[2], the official Mountain Dew Facebook Canada account announced VooDEW 1.0 (Canada) “is here for spooky szn so grab it before it disappears.”
For unknown reasons, Mountain Dew Canada did not give an official reveal on social media, resulting in an anticlimax for expectant fans.[3]
Despite this, there was one person who saw an ad for the soda.[4] While running, an advertisement for VooDEW displayed a blacked-out candy next to the bottle, which is believed to be Smarties (also known as Rockets in Canada). Since Smarties are a classic Halloween candy, it is a fitting inclusion for the ad.

On October 12th, 2024[5], in a livestream, Team Supernova unveiled VooDEW 1.0 (Canada)'s 2024 Mystery flavor to be Rockets (U.S. Smarties).
History[]
On July 6th, 2023, Canadian PepsiCo filed a trademark for VooDEW titled "MTN DEW VOO-DEW."[6]
In April 2024, PepsiCo Canada's Kosher certifications were updated to include both Summer Freeze and VooDEW. At that time, it was unclear whether VooDEW would be released in Canada. Summer Freeze was released the following month, making a VooDEW release more likely.
On August 11th, 2024, an anonymous source on the Dew Drinker Discord shared a photograph suggesting that VooDEW 1.0 (Canada) is planned for release. According to the source, it will be available only in 20-ounce bottles, with no Zero Sugar variant. Most of the artwork is based on the original 2019 VooDEW 1.0 (United States) release, except for the moon design, which displays "2024" (taken from VooDEW 6.0 (United States)'s label art) to reflect the current year.
It was officially released in stores in September 2024, throughout Canada for a limited time in 20-ounce bottles until November 11th, 2024, where after that, VooDEW 2.0 (Canada) would be succeeding it in 2025.

- This flavor is the second Canadian Halloween-themed flavor, the first being Pitch Black and the third being 2.0 (Canada).
- For the United States, the first being Pitch Black, the second being Pitch Black II, the third being 1.0 (U.S.), the fourth being 2.0 (U.S.), the fifth being 3.0 (U.S.), the sixth being 4.0 (U.S.), the seventh being 5.0 (U.S.), the eighth being 6.0 (U.S.), and the ninth being Trolli (Cherry-Lemon) Zero Sugar.
- For Australia, the first and only being 1.0 (Australia).
- Unlike previous Mountain Dew flavors released in Canada, which contained both cane sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup (which are labeled as Sugar/Glucose-Fructose), VooDEW 1.0 (Canada)'s release lists Glucose-Fructose as the only sweetener in the ingredients, making it the first Mountain Dew flavor in Canada to be sweetened only with High Fructose Corn Syrup.
