VooDEW was a Mountain Dew flavor that released in stores in late August of 2019 for a limited time during the Halloween season. It was initially leaked via a trademark that was filed on October 3rd, 2018. Months later, an eBay listing appeared of a 20 oz bottle of VooDEW, listed for 60 dollars.
Its packaging has no flavor description aside from "Mystery Flavor." Its taste was being described by many fans as fruity, reminiscent of an orange creamsicle, Starburst, Skittles, or other possible flavors that people may relate to.
On October 30th, 2019, the official Mountain Dew account tweeted , revealing the mystery flavor of VooDEW 2019 to officially be candy corn.
On October 3rd, 2018, PepsiCo filed a trademark name, calling it VooDEW.
On March 26th, 2019, an image of a 20 oz bottle of VooDEW was shown.
Sometime in Mid-2019, A PepsiCo employee stated that VooDEW has an unofficial launch date of August 14th, 2019 in some locations, depending on the region.
On September 25th, 2019, on Twitter, the official Mountain Dew account hinted at the flavor with 4 clues. First was a cornfield, with the VooDEW mascot dashing across it. The second was a house with a triangular window, with an orange tint. The third was a street, with the street names being "Dandy" and "Thorne". Lastly, there was a bird with it glitching into candy corn like a glitchy fade effect. On October 30th, 2019, in a Twitter post, the official Mountain Dew account confirmed the hints, revealing the mystery flavor of VooDEW 2019 to be candy corn flavored.
