Trolli (Cherry-Lemon) is an upcoming Mountain Dew flavor slated to release for the Halloween season 2025 as the first non-mystery VooDEW adjacent flavor as a Zero Sugar variant in the United States.

Description[]

Trolli (Cherry-Lemon) is a Cherry-Lemon (Sour Brite Crawlers) flavor of Mountain Dew. Its color is currently unknown, with a flavor profile comparable with the two Fall sour candy-ish flavors, VooDEW 4.0, and Pitch Black II.

History[]

On August 12th, 2024^[1], Team Supernova^[2] announced that VooDEW is not returning in 2025 and affirmed that it would be a VooDEW "Adjacent" flavor, though no Zero Sugar variation.

On October 12th, 2024^[3], Team Supernova announced during a livestream that they will be releasing a VooDEW-adjacent flavor in collaboration with a candy brand, but without the mystery flavor branding. They mentioned that they are unsure if the VooDEW branding is done for good.

Team Supernova clarified that the candy brand specifically requested to be featured on the label design, as they did not want to be associated with the "mystery flavor" concept. Although the specific brand was not announced due to "pending negotiations" with PepsiCo at that time as Team Supernova plans to wait for more sources to leak information before sharing details. It was also noted that the color of this new flavor will not be white, unlike previous VooDEW flavors.

Additionally, during the livestream, Team Supernova confirmed that "VooDEW will be returning in Canada in 2025."

On November 24th, 2024^[4], snachwithzach^[5], with Team Supernova and sodaseekers^[6], revealed in an Instagram reel video collaboration that the candy brand is Ferrara Candy Company. This manufacturer is known for products like Trolli sour gummy worms. One of the flavors of Trolli is Cherry-Lemon, scheduled to be released in early September in both 12-pack and bottle formats, available in Full-Sugar and Zero Sugar variants.

This Instagram leak seem to indicate that there wouldn't be a VooDEW flavor slated for 2025, ending the VooDEW 6-year streak, though unconfirmed.

On April 25th, 2025^[7], on the Dew Drinker Discord under the #dew-news channel, it was revealed by trusted sources that Trolli (Cherry-Lemon) will only be available in Zero Sugar.

Trolli (Cherry-Lemon) acts as 2025's "VooDEW" with initial leaks of it being reported as a "Voodew adjacent" flavor.
When the flavor releases, it will be the third collaboration between a soda brand from PepsiCo and a candy brand. The first such collaboration was October 2020's Crush Sour Patch Kids Berry soda, followed by VooDEW 5.0 in Fall 2023.
- If the candy brand collaboration for VooDEW 6.0 didn't fall through, Trolli (Cherry-Lemon) would've been the fourth collaboration.
