Cherry Lime Lift was a Mountain Dew Energy flavor released on January 10th, 2022, joining as a part of the lineup of the original flavors, replacing Berry Blitz. The Energy line was discontinued in January 2024, making this flavor with the rest of the flavors discontinued.
Description[]
As its name implies, Cherry Lime Lift was a Cherry Lime flavor of Mountain Dew. It has a similar color and flavor to Cold Fusion Freeze, which also contains the same Cherry Lime flavor.
It is a low-sugar energy drink having 180 Milligrams of Caffeine which equals approximately 2 Cups of Coffee, 5% Juice, Zero (0 G) added Sugar, Zinc, and Vitamins A&C Antioxidants.
History[]
On October 13th, 2021, it was officially announced at the 2021 NACS Show that Cherry Lime Lift would be releasing on January 10th, 2022.
Cherry Lime Lift was originally planned to be released with a celebrity endorsement from basketball player LeBron James, who had earlier sponsored the line's first six flavors when the line was first released. Cherry Lime Lift's original design had his head to be in place of the Energy Lion mascot. However, it was abandoned for unknown reasons, and the drink was released without it.
January 2024 discontinuation[]
On September 23rd, 2023, it was leaked by Team Supernova that VooDEW 6.0, alongside its Zero Sugar variant, would be releasing in Fall 2024 with a collaboration of a top candy brand. Additionally, Kroger-exclusive Thrashed Apple would be nationally discontinued alongside Major Melon, Spark at the end of 2023, alongside the entirety of the Mountain Dew Energy line in January of 2024 with the then-discovered Mountain Dew Energy (Liberty Brew) and Mountain Dew Energy (Baja Laguna Lemonade) and was acknowledged by the official Rockstar Energy Drink website.
