Mountain Dew AMP was a Mountain Dew energy drink variant released in the United Kingdom. Unlike the American Amp Energy, Mountain Dew AMP was released under the Mountain Dew name, like it's Polish sibling, Adrenaline Mountain Dew.
Description
Like Mountain Dew, it was yellow-green in color and was citrus flavored. Its Caffeine was 31mg/100ml.
History
In August 2013, Britvic, under the license of PepsiCo., released this drink in the United Kingdom. It was noted that the United Kingdom version of Amp Energy was released under the 'Mountain Dew' brand with a UK-unique new logo. This was similar to its early release in North America, with the Amp logo featuring the text "Powered by Mountain DEW" beneath it.
In 2017, the Mountain Dew U.K. Twitter page responded to a user, saying they have discontinued AMP in order to focus on their Citrus Blast flavor.
