Not to be confused with the North American AMP.
Mountain Dew AMP was a Mountain Dew energy drink variant released in the United Kingdom. Unlike the American Amp Energy at the time, Mountain Dew AMP was released under the Mountain Dew name much like its Polish sibling, Adrenaline Mountain Dew.
Description[]
Like the Original Mountain Dew, it was yellow-green in color and was citrus flavored. Its caffeine content was 31mg per 100ml which is 155mg per 500ml can.
History[]
In August 2013, Britvic, under the license of PepsiCo., released this drink in the United Kingdom. It was noted that the United Kingdom version of Amp Energy was released under the 'Mountain Dew' brand with a UK-unique new logo, similar to its American counterpart's early release, with the Amp logo featuring the text "Powered by Mountain DEW" beneath it.
In January 2017, in response to a question about this product, the Mountain Dew U.K. Twitter page said that they have discontinued AMP to focus on their Citrus Blast flavor.
