History

In its first release in 2007, Max Air used the standard Mountain Dew flavoring with a different formula, presumably using natural sugar similar to Throwback.

In 2008, Max Air 2 was released, this time with a much different formula that had much more carbonation and less flavoring.

2009 saw the release of Max Air 3, which used yet another revised formula, bringing back the stronger flavor from the first release and retaining the carbonation from the second.
