Mango Rush

Mango Rush is a Mountain Dew flavor released as a Franchise Exclusive on May 5th, 2025, during the spring season. It is available only at Little Caesars restaurants for a limited time and only while supplies last.

Description[]

Mango Rush is a Sweet Mango Heat flavor of Mountain Dew. Its color is amber orange, with a flavor profile comparable to 2016's Game Fuel (Mango Heat).

Before release, its flavor profile underwent a testing phase since 2023[1], narrowing it to three potential flavors: Sweet Lime Heat, Sweet Pineapple Heat, and Sweet Mango Heat. After testing, the third was chosen.

Tagline[]

Its tagline is "DEW with a Blast of Natural and Artificial Mango Sweet Heat Flavor."

History[]

On October 12th, 2024[2], Team Supernova[3] announced during a livestream that a new exclusive flavor from Little Caesars, Mango Rush, will be available starting in April 2025. This flavor will come in 16-ounce cans for a limited time. During the livestream, it was revealed that PepsiCo has been testing and surveying three potential flavors for Mango Rush: Sweet Lime Heat, Sweet Pineapple Heat, and Sweet Mango Heat. Team Supernova also speculated that this flavor profile could be 2016's Game Fuel (Mango Heat).

In a Sporked article published on October 24th[4] of the same year, Team Supernova noted that the most popular flavor out of the three surveyed was Sweet Mango Heat.

On February 27th, 2025[5], Team Supernova revealed a higher quality 16-ounce design of Mango Rush and confirmed it is a "Mango Sweet Heat" flavor, the most popular of the three surveyed.

On March 20th, 2025[6], a post on r/LittleCaesars showed a pallet containing numerous bright orange 12-packs of 16-ounce cans. The photograph featured a high-quality logo of Mango Rush along with the lettering "Only at Little Caesars." The pizza parlor stores aren't allowed to sell it until May 5th.[7]

Mango Rush was officially released for a limited time on May 5th, 2025, and is available at Little Caesars pizza parlors across the United States while supplies last. It is offered only in a single 16-ounce can size.

Trivia[]

  • Mango Rush is one of the few restaurant exclusives designed to taste best for their food.[8] Others include Which Wich's Vibe with sandwiches, KFC's Sweet Lightning with Southern-inspired food, Applebee's Dark Berry Bash, Taco Bell's Baja Blast, and other exclusive flavors.
  • Mango Rush is the final flavor to be released with the old 2017 logo, as it's the last flavor to use this design before transitioning to the new logo.
    • Baja Cabo Citrus is the last non-exclusive market flavor to release with the old 2017 logo, while Mango Rush is the last franchise-exclusive flavor to release with the old 2017 logo.
  • Mango Rush is the second Franchise Exclusive limited-time flavor released only in 16-ounce cans. The first was Dollar General's Maui Burst in its limited-time October 2019 release.
    • Sasquench had a concept for a 16-ounce can design featuring the same Little Caesars franchise that Mango Rush intended to release. However, since this was merely a concept, it would have been the second flavor released only in 16-ounce cans, as it was never planned for an actual release.
  • There is speculation that the flavor could be reused from 2016's Game Fuel (Mango Heat) or that the concept could be adapted for Mango Rush due to the similarities in their names and flavor profiles. The flavor profile of Mango Rush, described as "Sweet Mango Heat," is the most popular among the three flavors surveyed.
  • Some fast-food restaurants feature their logos on their Franchise-Exclusive Mountain Dew flavors to promote their brand. This strategy helps generate free advertising, especially for those who may not know how to find these exclusive flavors. By incorporating their logos into the designs, these restaurants enhance recognition and interest.
    • Flavors like Baja Blast are labeled with "Taco Bell Original," while Sweet Lightning features "Only at KFC" on the cup design. Similarly, Pepsi Pineapple showcases the Little Caesars logo.
  • This is the second flavor-exclusive from PepsiCo at Little Caesars, the first being Pepsi Pineapple in 2023. After a massively popular and successful run, it made a comeback in 2024 which paved the way for the collaboration behind Mango Rush.[9]
  • When Mango Rush was released, Little Casers had various commercials promoting it with their "Mango Rush Tree" mascot.[10]
