Kickstart (Energizing Fruit Punch) is a Mountain Dew Kickstart flavor first released in the United States on February 25th, 2013, alongside Orange Citrus as breakfast-themed drinks in contrast to the later-released nighttime-themed Black Cherry and Limeade flavors in mid-January 2014.

Kickstart (Energizing Fruit Punch) is a Fruit Punch flavor of Mountain Dew and is red in color, having a comparable flavor and color to that of Mountain Dew Red.
This flavor is an enhanced soft drink having Caffeine, 5% Juice, and B & C Vitamins.
History[]
This line initially consisted of two flavors, Fruit Punch and Orange Citrus. These two flavors were released on February 25th, 2013, as breakfast-themed drinks in contrast to the later-released nighttime-themed Black Cherry and Limeade flavors in Mid-January 2014.
In Early 2022, a PepsiCo product list was discovered that showed both Fruit Punch and Grape would be discontinued once inventory is gone. However, the discontinuation was later reverted, but only Fruit Punch is still available.
The current Kickstart lineup of flavors consists of Fruit Punch, Orange Citrus, Black Cherry, and Pineapple Orange Mango.
International release[]
Canada[]
In 2015, two years after their American release, Kickstart (Energizing Orange Citrus) and Kickstart (Energizing Fruit Punch), both were released in Canada.
Finland[]
In March 2021, Kickstart (Energizing Fruit Punch) was released in Finland. Like Blood Orange and Black Cherry, for its Finnish release the name "Kickstart" was replaced by "Jumpstart."
Freeze release[]
(2014) 7-Eleven[]
In September 2014, participating 7-Eleven convenience store locations began offering "Mountain Dew Kickstart Fruit Punch Freeze," a Slurpee of Kickstart Energizing Fruit Punch. This was a limited time offering and would be discontinued later that year.
Trivia[]
- This is one of the few brands/flavors that did not receive the 2025 logo rebrand. The others are Vibe and Amp Energy.
