Holiday Brew

Not to be confused with Merry Mash-Up.

Holiday Brew was a Mountain Dew flavor first released in the Holiday season of 2017 for a limited time in the United States.

Description[]

Holiday Brew was a mixture of 60% Code Red and 40% Original Dew and had a red look with a similar theme to Mountain Dew's other Christmas flavors.

History[]

Holiday Brew was first seen on a YouTube video posted by myCountyMarket on July 28th, 2017, as seen in the background on one of the shelves on one of their product reviews of new snacks and food. A few days later, myCountyMarket posted a review about Holiday Brew alongside another Holiday-themed soda, Pepsi Salted Caramel. From the video, its release date was revealed to be November 6th, 2017.

It was officially released in stores on November 6th, 2017 throughout the United States for a limited time in 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles until December 31st, the end of Holiday 2017, where after that, Merry Mash-Up succeeded it in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Trivia[]

  • This flavor was the first Holiday-themed flavor to release, the second being Merry Mash-Up (2018 - 2020), the third being Gingerbread Snap'd (2021), the fourth being Fruit Quake (2022), and the fifth being Cobra Cane (2023).
  • This flavor had a similar architecture to another mixture flavor released that same year, Summer 2017's DEW-S-A (a combination of three existing flavors: Red for Code Red, White for White Out, and Blue for Voltage, which represent the colors of the United States flag.)
    • DEW-S-A was the first mixture flavor, while Holiday Brew was the second and last mixture flavor, with both using Code Red.
  • Holiday Brew was featured on the YouTube channel myCountyMarket along with several other pre-release flavors of Mountain Dew from 2016 to 2019.
