Holiday Brew was a Mountain Dew flavor that officially released in the holiday season of 2017 for a limited time in stores on November 6th, 2017 and until December 31st, 2017. It was first leaked in August 2017 by the YouTube channel myCountyMarket.
Holiday Brew was a flavor of Mountain Dew which was red-orange in color, similar to DEW-S-A. Its flavor was a combination mixture of two existing Mountain Dew flavors, Code Red, and regular Mountain Dew. Together in one, it tasted much like 60% Code Red and 40% regular Mountain Dew.
Holiday Brew was first seen in a YouTube video that was posted by myCountyMarket on July 28th, 2017, as seen in the background on one of the shelves on one of their product reviews.
On August 1st, 2017, a few days later, the same YouTube channel posted a review of the two holiday-themed flavors, which was revealed to be Holiday Brew and Pepsi Salted Caramel on their video. The channel stated that these two holiday-themed flavors are going to be officially released on November 6th, 2017 and until December 31st, 2017 from a nine-week period for a limited time in the United States.
Similar to previous releases of limited edition flavors of Mountain Dew, there had been early reports of Holiday Brew before the set release date which was scheduled to be from November 6th, 2017, and until December 31st, 2019, such as YouTuber Avery Heaney TV, and his friends had found Holiday Brew early in his video. A day later, Avery posted a review of Holiday Brew.
Holiday Brew has been officially released on November 6th, 2017, in stores in the United States. The soda was later discontinued on December 31st, 2017 after the original limited-time run.
This flavor was replaced by Merry Mash-Up, as the next holiday season release flavor for 2018 and now 2019.
- This was the second time since DEW-S-A for a flavor to be a mix of existing Dew flavors.
- This flavor had a similar color to Citrus Cherry, and the next holiday release Merry Mash-Up.
- Avery Heaney TV was a YouTuber that had found Holiday Brew and Mountain Dew Ice prior to their official releases in his videos.
- Holiday Brew was featured on the YouTube channel myCountyMarket along with several other pre-release flavors of Mountain Dew.
