Hard Code Red

Hard Mountain Dew Code Red was an cherry flavored malt beverage inspired by the classic Code Red that was planned to be released in February 2024 to replace Hard Watermelon for the Hard Mountain Dew line. Its status is currently unknown.

Description[]

Hard Code Red was planned to be a cherry flavor in the Hard alcoholic lineup. Containing 5% alcohol, it is a non-caffeinated Malt beverage with Natural Flavors, Artificial Sweeteners (Sucralose & Acesulfame Potassium), Certified Color, Zero (0 G) added Sugar, and FD&C Yellow #5.

It was planned to be available in single 24 oz. cans much like the other Hard Mountain Dew flavors, as well as smaller 12 oz. cans in a variety pack alongside Hard Mountain Dew, LiveWire, and Baja Blast.

History[]

On October 4th, 2023, it was leaked by Team Supernova that Hard Code Red was announced at the NACS show, which plans to be released in February 2024 to replace Hard Watermelon in the variety pack and the 24-ounce cans.

February 2024 came and went with no release or other sign of Hard Code Red. On February 27th, 2024, Team Supernova announced that Boston Beer has shared their plans to fully take over distribution of Hard Mountain Dew. It is possible that this decision may have impacted the release of Hard Code Red.

At this time it is currently unclear if or when Hard Code Red will release, if ever.
