Game Fuel (Tropical Smash) was a Mountain Dew Game Fuel flavor released in Fall 2017 for a limited time as part of the Game Fuel Promotion to promote Forza Motorsport 7 alongside another Game Fuel spinoff flavor, Arctic Burst.

Game Fuel (Tropical Smash) was a Tropical flavor of Mountain Dew and had a yellow-orange look, having a comparable tasting flavor and color to that of Flavor 736 and Game Fuel (Charged Tropical Strike).
Half-diet formulation[]

This flavor used a half-diet formula which reduced the amount of HFCS and the added in artificial sweeteners Acesulfame Potassium and Sucralose/Splenda.

(2017) Every60Seconds[]

On May 27th, 2017, Game Fuel (Tropical Smash) was first leaked by the Mtn Dew Kid, a Mountain Dew fan-hosted website for the latest Mountain Dew news in the 2010s. A photograph was sent to the Mtn Dew Kid, with Game Fuel (Arctic Burst) (promoting Middle-earth: Shadow of War) and another flavor named Game Fuel (Tropical Smash) (promoting Forza Motorsport 7) slated for release on August 22nd, 2017 (later changed to be released in October 2017) as part to coincide with the Every60Seconds promotion where people could win Xbox One X consoles with point auctions.
It was officially released in stores in the United States in October 2017, for a limited time alongside Game Fuel (Arctic Burst) and was sold in 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles. Both flavors stayed on store shelves until January 3rd, 2018 when the Every60Seconds promotion concluded.

- According to the nutrition facts, Game Fuel (Tropical Smash) has an identical color to Game Fuel (Charged Tropical Strike).
- Tropical Smash was the second Tropical flavor of Game Fuel, the first being Game Fuel (Tropical) and the third being Game Fuel (Charged Tropical Strike).
- Game Fuel (Tropical Smash) was featured on the YouTube channel myCountyMarket along with several other pre-release flavors of Mountain Dew from 2016 to 2019.
- Game Fuel (Tropical Smash)'s 2017 prototype release featured a promotion for the video game Middle-earth: Shadow of War. For its official release later that year, the video game promotion was changed to Forza Motorsport 7.
- Game Fuel (Citrus Cherry) was slated for release in the Every60Seconds promotion, although this didn't come to fruition.
