Frost Bite is a Mountain Dew flavor exclusively sold in Walmart stores. It was released in late March 2020 as a permanent flavor. It was first leaked on the Dew Drinker Discord server from a Pepsi employee, and later in a Reddit post from user "mtndewinsider" on January 15th, 2020.
Description
Frost Bite is a flavor of Mountain Dew that is cobalt blue in color. Its flavor is described as "a burst of icy refreshment and cool melon."
History
Frost Bite was initially leaked on the Dew Drinker Discord in late 2019. However, the community and moderation team prevented the leak's spread, both to prevent the drink's launch from potentially getting cancelled, as well as for the safety of the leaker.
On January 15th, 2020, Frost Bite appeared in the r/MountainDew subreddit via a post from u/mtndewinsider.
Officially, it was released in Walmart stores in the United States on March 23rd, 2020 as a permanent flavor, sold in 12-packs, 16.9 ounce bottle multipacks, and 20 ounce bottles.
Frost Bite Zero Sugar
In January 2021, a SmartLabel listing for a 20 oz bottle of Frost Bite Zero Sugar was leaked. A few days after the leak, it was confirmed by a Pepsi employee on the Dew Drinker Discord that it would release sometime around April 2021, in 12-packs, 24-packs, and 20 oz bottles.

- This is the second Mountain Dew flavor exclusively released at a retail store, the first being Maui Burst at Dollar General stores.
- Frost Bite was initially planned to be released as a limited time offer from March to June 2020. It was later changed to be an exclusive flavor for the rest of 2020 only in Walmart stores. Employees have stated that its status past 2020 depends on its success at Walmart.
