Spiked (Raspberry Lemonade)

Spiked (Raspberry Lemonade) (also known in Canada as Extra (Raspberry Lemonade)) was a Mountain Dew flavor. It was a non-alcoholic raspberry lemonade flavored soda described as being "Spiked" with thirst quenching prickly pear cactus juice. Similar to the Label, Kickstart and Mountain Dew Energy flavors, it was available in 16 ounce cans.

Description[]

Spiked (Raspberry Lemonade) was, as its name implies, a raspberry lemonade flavored Mountain Dew and was pink in color. It was similar to Game Fuel Zero (Charged Raspberry Lemonade) in both flavor and color. The flavor claims to have been created with "no artificial sweeteners" and "real fruit juice".

History[]

Mountain Dew Spiked was released in 2017 under two designs. Its design in the United States featured "Spiked" under the Mountain Dew logo, while its Canadian design featured "Extra" in place of "Spiked" under the Mountain Dew logo.

Spiked (Raspberry Lemonade) was released alongside Spiked (Lemonade) in stores in 2017 in 16 ounce cans. It was discontinued the following year along with Green Label and Spiked (Lemonade) due to low sales.

Trivia[]

  • Spiked (Raspberry Lemonade) and Spiked (Lemonade) were originally called Mountain Dew Extra in the US and was most likely the prototype name of Spike or originally meant to be a Canadian exclusive.
  • Spiked (Raspberry Lemonade) and Spiked (Lemonade) was featured on the YouTube channel myCountyMarket along with several other pre-release flavors of Mountain Dew from 2016 to 2019.
