The flavor began showing up in stores in mid-June, and promoted the 2012 film, The Dark Knight Rises, as well as codes that give fans access to exclusive film content through DEWGothamCity.com. It was also released in Denmark and Iceland for the same promo. It was later released in the Philippines exclusively at 7-Eleven stores. was later released in Romania in 2012, where it was now a permanent addition to their lineup. The Danish Dark Berry was imported from Iceland by Hansen&Co. It was made by Ölgerðin.
