An update regarding "Operation: Modernize"
Hi! To keep it simple, I have an update on "Operation: Modernize."
When I first made "Operation: Modernize." I'd thought this modernization would be simple, smooth, and easy to do for a year. It's been a couple of years, and it's incomplete. It's been way too long for this. At the time, I had developed a way to update the pages in a way that I preferred, but this method that I was using wasn't the best method of "modernizing" these pages and wasn't foolproof.
Earlier this year, I experimented with getting many sources for some flavors as a test. The pages that I tested are Baja Blast, MDX, Pitch Black II, and Purple Thunder. After experimenting with the reference sources, improving these pages did make a positive impact on progress. Having s…
I have a vision for a multi-wiki affiliated network
I have a vision for a multi-wiki affiliated network, but it might turn into a monopoly because of this idea.
Hi, it's been quite a while. I want to kick things off and say Happy New Year and cheers for this first blog post for 2024! With this first blog post for 2024, I wanted to give an idea for a vision and bright future for the potential for Soda Wikis on FANDOM.
- 1 Mountain Dew Wiki's golden age
- 2 What's the status of other similar wikis?
- 3 The Soda Wiki's inspiration
- 4 Coca-Cola Wiki and Pepsi Wiki
- 5 My idea and vision for improvement
- 6 Moving bigger brands to their respective wikis
- 7 If a brand is too big for that wiki, it could overpower that one wiki
- 8 A brilliant idea that goes to a potential monopoly
- 9 What do YOU think about this?
I have been on the…

What Mountain Dew varieties have I tried?
I've been a fan of the classic caffinated citrus soda Mountain Dew since 2010, as I was "personally" introduced into the drink by a user named David Di Franco, who essentually was my role-model back when I was 9 or 10. As a 23-year-old nowadays, and being able to get Mountain Dew varieties much easier since a lot more of the convenience stores in my area have stocked it, how about I give my views on each one?
This also includes international varieties.
- Throwback/Real Sugar (March 2010) - This was the first Mountain Dew I ever tried. I found it back in March or April 2010 in a store near where I live that used to import US drinks. With a sweet citrus taste and ripe caffeine power, who else would resist this? Nowadays to me, it tastes like reg…
A Little Change of Pace
Hi Dew fans, this is a very different blog post and is sort've related to the Mountain Dew Wiki. It's a self-update of what is going on with me.
Now, I know what you're thinking, saying: "Duckie, you've been on this wiki for a long time now. Why on earth are you are announcing a self-update?"
Correct, I have been going right at it for a long time, and I consider having a shift of pace for myself can be favorable for my editing skills. It doesn't mean that I'm moving away and quitting my job as an admin here, I'm still going to be active, but I've been treating the Dew as my full-time job, and I haven't branched out to other wikis here on FANDOM.
"So, what is this branching to other wikis? Hmm?" I grew fascinated by cartoons as a child. I had …
So, about Dark Mode...
I've got a few problems with the Dark Mode of this wiki, which is mostly a problem because I tend to get eyestrain pretty easily and use dark mode on everything as a default along with using this wiki quite a bit.
There are 2 main issues with it as of now:
- The text and background colors make it to where links are unreadable.
- The background for Dark Mode is SHOCKINGLY low quality. Some real Web 1.0 type stuff.
The first in an accessibility issue, while the second, I'll admit, is a little petty but I dunno. It bothers me nonetheless. Either way, it could use some changing and I unfortunately don't have clearance myself to do that. I would if I could, trust me. As America's Number One Disabled Mountain Dew Enjoyer (title pending) this is just the…
A new Generation has Begun!
Hi there, DEW fans! Today is a BIG day because this is a historical moment for the Mountain Dew Wiki and myself. Now, why is this a big day, you ask? I'll tell you.
- 1 My history
- 1.1 (Late 2017/Early 2018) My beginnings
- 1.2 (July 2021 - December 2022) I adapted
- 1.3 (January 2023 - June 2023) I burnt out
- 1.4 (July 2023 - Present) A redemption return
- 2 Reaching newer heights
- 2.1 (April 2019) My request for administrative privileges
- 2.2 (2023) Fandom Stars
- 3 What does this mean?
- 4 A HUGE Thank you!
Since late 2017/early 2018, I started to edit some pages, including a newly unreleased Mountain Dew Ice lemon-lime flavor. When I first learned about it on the YouTube channel, MyCountyMarket. I've searched it, only to find that it's not on here.
When I created that page…
New baja blast float, i call it the sandstorm
I wanted to make a root beer float with my favorite drink:baja blast. It turned out to be good. So, here is how to make the sandstorm. You will need a cup, vanilla ice cream, baja blast, and a spoon. First, get the cup. Then, put the ice cream in. Next, pour the baja blast in. Then, get a spoon and mix. Finally, enjoy!
A new Rumored Flavor and my Thoughts and Theories
This blog post is now polished with some good theories and thoughts, but I will not post about them until further notice about the Sasquench flavor. If I do, PepsiCo then might cancel it.
An Update on Thrashed Apple
Hi! I wanted to let people know that the production is resuming about Thrashed Apple.
Recently, I've seen some Thrashed Apple bottles with an April 2023 expiration date in my local Kroger, and when I first saw them in over a month. I was like, "What? Thrashed Apple is back?"
The last time it was produced was back in September 2022 to celebrate its one-year birthday. 12-packs had a January 30th, 2023 date, while the 20-ounce bottles had a December 5th, 2022 date, and when we were nearing mid-December 2022, there were little to no bottles of it left while we had many 12-packs leftover from its one-year celebration.
I've spoken with a PepsiCo employee who stated that Thrashed Apple is getting discontinued, but that was a few days ago. But now, I…
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Thoughtful Talks Series
For a long while, there were issues in some Mountain Dew topics that either had an extensive dispute with never a conclusive answer or others that wasn't expressive enough. That is until this announcement blog.
In this announcement, I'll be having a series called "The Thoughtful Talks Series," of posts intended for the r/MountainDew Subreddit (Or here if it escalates), and once we discuss these topics, hope to conclude them once the fanbase agrees. Although this series can have controversies, I do not want to see people argue but rather discuss it in a proper adult-like calm way.
The topics we'll be discussing are:
- Recycled flavors Berry Monsoon and Game Fuel (Berry Lime)
- Half-Diet flavors Sweet Lightning
- Flavor speculation Frost Bite and Game …
Mountain Dew and Canada
I've been thinking about something for a while now, and I think it's now the perfect time to discuss Mountain Dew and Canada!
Recently, Canada has seen some developments in Mountain Dew flavors over the past few years, and what they're doing is impressive for an international country.
Now, for international countries (excluding USA and Canada). Mountain Dew in these countries is good enough, but the flavors they put are impressive, like Passionfruit Frenzy. Recently, we have not seen many developments other than Ice in some Asian countries, Major Melon/Pink Drip in Honduras/Australia, and Euronova in cans in Finland. With those developments, I don't think they can match it to Canada.
I'd say Canada is a fascinating country, and Canada is on t…
Thank you, Thrashed Apple
Hello there, DEW fans! If you aren't aware of what happened recently, Thrashed Apple is no more at Kroger/Kroger-owned stores, and it's now discontinued as it is on sale at a low price.
This blog post is an appreciation post from the bottom of my heart, as this flavor holds very dear to me personally and, hopefully, all of us Thrashed Apple fans in general. I recall back in 2020, when Walmart had its Frost Bite flavor, I was concerned, thinking: "If Walmart can get its exclusive flavor, so can Kroger due to it owning other regional stores and being semi-national."
Fast forward to May 2021, I was jumping for joy when an apple flavor was getting Kroger its own Mountain Dew flavor. At first, I was skeptical of what an apple-flavored Mountain De…
Mountain Dew Wiki's 25 Days of Dew Challenge!
Hey there, DEW Drinkers! I have a challenge for all of you this Holiday Season! Now, what challenge, you ask? It's the Mountain Dew Wiki's: 25 Days of Dew Challenge!
The premise of this challenge is that you drink twenty-five (one flavor per day) unique Mountain Dew flavors from December 1st to the 25th with some recently discontinued/franchise-exclusive flavors to enjoy. If you don't have access to some discontinued/franchise-exclusive flavors, then be adventurous with full-sugar drinks or be gentle with diet or zero-sugar variants of a widely available drink such as Code Red.
This challenge is a new idea from myself, and I think this concept would inspire other Dew Drinkers to try something different once in a while. Twenty-five bottles of …
Dew Drinker Discord Outage
Hi there everyone. I wanted to address one of our affiliates, Dew Drinker Discord, who had just gone down.
Cloudflare had just gone down alongside many other websites with it, including Discord, and I wanted to make this blog post for people that it's ok when websites are down like this. Millions of people like me use Discord to communicate with similar interests, and we all experience something missing from our daily lives, which is ok!
From similar outages from other websites we love, this is where this blog post comes into play. As for this blog post, I wanted to tell people that it's a tough time for many people, and I don't blame you. Try to cope with it out, and when you do, you'll be good in no time! It will be over before you know it…
Thoughts on the new Flavor infoboxes.
I've added the new flavor infoboxes to most of the flavor pages, and I think that it is actually an OK idea, as it the page source for them is shorter and more streamlined, which makes it simpler.
The major (and only, really) problem here is that the new infobox determines its own size (whereas in the old infoboxes, you could choose how many pixels the image could be). This means that when the image is vertical, it becomes unnecessarily large (especially for Finnish Supernova, Mountain Dew AMP, Mountain Dew Energy, and most Kickstart flavors).
Should we create a page about Test Flavors?
Hey! It's been a while since my last blog post.
I'd thought about a neat idea a few months back, and I wanted to have people's thoughts and takes about it.
Have any of you ever thought about other test flavors? I'd thought it would be a good idea to contain information about listing these test flavors on a wiki page, similar to this page of unreleased flavors. I'd thought it would be a great idea to see how to list all of these known test flavors.
It's pretty interesting to see PepsiCo having test flavors of Mountain Dew, and I remember back then, in 2014, when PepsiCo released DEWitos and Lemonade with Ginger in colleges to test. After this went viral, PepsiCo themselves stated they do indeed have a "flavor vault" of flavors filled with some…

I like the drink mtn dew and i dislike the drink mtn dew Baja flash and sweet lightning. Also dark berry bash is bad.
i like citrus cherry and pitch black and dewsa. They taste good. But since Pepsi has a peanut brain they do not let us buy it.
My Review of Applebee's Dark Berry Bash
Upon browsing this wiki today I discovered that there was a relativiely new Dew flavor exclusive to Applebee's.
I immediately called the Applebee's nearest to me and made sure they had Dark Berry Bash deciding to place an order after work.
My roommate and I drove nearly an hour and half round trip just to pick up our food and drinks from Applebee's. We live out in the country so everything is a bit far.
I was super excited to try it because, well, it was a new one I could try TODAY and because I love blue raspberry and this one also had blackberry so I thought it would be unique.
It just tastes like less concentrated Voltage. Now, I don't know if it was just my Applebee's location, but it definitely wasn't a good ratio of syrup to carbonated wa…
My Review of Gingerbread Snap'd
Ya know... I've been obsessed with the various Seasonal and Limited Edition Dews throughout the last several years, but I gotta say... this one is strange to me.
I happened to be at Dollar General the other day and they had a few of these Gingerbread Snap'd in their cooler at check out. I, of course, immediately grabbed one. I knew to be on the lookout for the holiday flavor but I don't usually keep up with dew news and leaks these days so that I can be surprised in-store. And surprised I was.
At first I thought maybe I had gotten an old one becase it wasn't very carbonated, but being a short-lived seasonal flavor and not expiring until January, I figured it was just the way it was made. Nonetheless, it seemed to be on the flat side to me.
I'…
An update for Zero Sugar Wiki pages and Flavor Infoboxes
After a response from the DEW community, I'm finally ready to speak about the Zero Sugar wiki pages themselves and one other update to add.
Since people like the idea of making individual Zero Sugar pages in general, there was one comment that stood out that made a positive impact on my response.
This comment on that blog post is self-explanatory, explaining that we should make a small section of the Zero Sugar variant on the primary regular flavor page as these zero sugar variants sport and the same flavor and history between Regular and Zero Sugar together.
To sum it up, there will not be Zero Sugar flavor pages but rather the zero sugar variant existing on the primary regular flavor page as a small section itself.
While we're talking about …
Should I make new pages for Mountain Dew's Zero Sugar flavor lineup?
I've been thinking about this for some time now. Slowly and maturely, PepsiCo is making Zero Sugar variations of some Mountain Dew flavors that we're noticing now. From this, I think that they should get their new wiki pages.
- 1 (2021) Recent Zero Sugar flavor lineup development
- 2 (1970s - Now) Diet's "underdeveloped" flavor lineup development
- 3 (2018 - Now) A new path for Zero Sugar
- 4 Does the Zero Sugar flavors deserve their own Wiki pages?
- 5 What do YOU think about this?
This year, we've seen a big chunk of flavors, Major Melon, Berry Monsoon, Spark, Frost Bite, and Code Red receiving their Zero Sugar counterparts sometime after. We know Diet isn't being quite as successful and developed compared to the new Zero Sugar introduced in 2020. Technicall…
My current work for modernizing the Wiki
This blog post is a way to show off what I'm doing for modernizing. Also, words in bold lettering mean the page is very close to being completed and should require little to no editing.
As of right now, I'm still working on select flavors, and the work that I've got ahead of me depends on how well I can progress and want to get done. Check back later to see how I'm proceeding over time.

The current state of this Wiki
Hello there, Mountain Dew fans and visitors! My name is Duckieboy01, and this is my first important blog post in regards to this Fandom. I'll be diving into the aspects, details, and the current state of the Mountain Dew Wiki in general that I'll be talking about in this blog post. With that said and done, let's get onto the blog post!
In a couple of these past few weeks, I've noticed that it has been slowly and eventually getting outdated as time goes on. It's because it has gotten developed into a staple of out-of-date information that the most Dew flavors haven't caught love and care for the past couple of years now.
The out-of-date information here is as follows: grammar, close details, looks, and some other small out-of-date information…
Is Mountain Dew Distortion, Revolution and Supernova making a comeback?
I saw the recent Pepsico trademarks and it has Distortion, Revolution and Supernova a few months ago as trademarks. I'm not sure if they're coming back after 11 years or so.

Mountain Dew isn't what it used to be:
I know this may be a change of mood for a Mountain Dew Wiki/Fandom, but it's been bothering me for a long time... Mountain Dew isn't what it used to be. Back in the 2000's and early 2010's, Mountain Dew almost "brought people together." That may seem like a bit of an exaggeration but that's me. Ever since they started making Mountain Dew Kickstart, I feel almost as if Mountain Dew has only gotten worse as a company. Don't get me wrong, I still have a great fondness for Mountain Dew and believe it or not, it's actually had a big impact on my life. Nowadays, Mountain Dew is all about NASCAR and Skateboarding (Nothing against those activities). Not only that, but they don't listen to their "fans"/customers. People were "begging" for Dew.S.A …
something to say achievement here i come
this is a post to get an achievement. also, i have actually added 12 edits to this wiki. i don't know why, but i did. sorry about the lack of grammar, but i doubt anyone is going to read this anyways. livewire is delicious, btw. best orange soda ever.
Do You think Baja Blast should of won DEWcision 2016?
I want to talk about something that came to mind. Do you think that Baja Blast should've won DEWcision 2016?
I think for the hype about this promotion, and these two flavors are pretty good themselves, Baja Blast should've won it, but I voted for Pitch Black because you can get some Baja Blast in Taco Bell.
I remember it was great, but something was up about it years later. It was rigged from the start, and there's some information to prove it.
Again, do you think Baja Blast won? I thought so too.
-Duckieboy01
Goji Citrus Strawberry
Mountain Dew Goji Citrus Strawberry was going to be at select Taco Bell restaurants, but it was sent to select U.S. convenience stores (Sheetz and Jacksons).

and I give Tropical Burst 8/10
