Baja Laguna Lemonade

Baja Laguna Lemonade was a Mountain Dew flavor released for a limited time alongside Baja Point Break Punch and Baja Fiery Mango (a Doritos chip flavor) in March 2024 in part for a promotion named 20th Bajaversary.

Description[]

Baja Laguna Lemonade was a Mango Lemonade flavor of Mountain Dew and had a yellow look.

Tagline[]

Its tagline was "DEW with a Blast of Natural and Artificial Mango Lemonade Flavor."

History[]

On September 8th, 2023, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, Baja Laguna Lemonade was first leaked by a Mountain Dew fan named u/1033Forest showing an image of a 20-ounce bottle design. The fan also linked the source to be a 2023 NACS Show website, showing multiple releases of PepsiCo and PepsiCo-affiliated products alongside others.

On September 22nd, 2023, it was leaked on the Dew Drinker Discord detailing information on PepsiCo's plans and release schedule for 2024 of the majority of flavors. The detailed leak here is as follows: The Summer re-release of Liberty Brew alongside two new flavors, Star Spangled and Freedom Frenzy (later renamed Star Spangled Splash and Freedom Fusion, respectively), Game Fuel (Citrus Cherry) alongside Game Fuel (Midnight Mission) (the latter later renamed Game Fuel (Citrus Blackberry)) in November, and two Baja flavors: Baja Laguna Lemonade and Baja Point Break Punch in Spring with a Doritos chip flavor, Baja Fiery Mango.

On October 7th, 2023, Team Supernova received better quality photos of Baja Paradise Punch (renamed Baja Point Break Punch) and Baja Laguna Lemonade, taken from the 2023 NACS Show event.

On September 23rd, 2023, it was leaked by Team Supernova that VooDEW 6.0, alongside its Zero Sugar variant, would be releasing in Fall 2024 with a collaboration of a top candy brand. Additionally, Kroger-exclusive Thrashed Apple would be nationally discontinued alongside Major Melon, Spark at the end of 2023, alongside the Mountain Dew Energy line in January 2024 with then-discovered Mountain Dew Energy (Liberty Brew) and Mountain Dew Energy (Baja Laguna Lemonade).

Trivia[]

  • This is the second Baja Spinoff to be a Mango-centric flavor, the first being Baja Mango Gem.
  • Baja Laguna Lemonade, alongside Baja Point Break Punch, is one of the many Baja Family flavors to be released for a limited time.
  • In the pre-release designs of the two Spring 2024 Baja flavors, there were some minor tagline flavor descriptions that would later be changed, namely Baja Laguna Lemonade's Lemon (later changed to to Mango Lemonade) and Baja Point Break Punch's Fruit Punch (later changed to Tropical Punch).
  • Unlike all previous Baja flavors, it and Baja Point Break Punch were released in March of 2024, giving Liberty Chill, Star Spangled Splash and Freedom Fusion the June-August slot.
